Vintage French Framed Hot Air Balloon Illustration Art Print

£12.00

A framed French print reproducing an 18th-century hot air balloon caricature, "Moyen infaillible de diriger les Ballons": a balloonist towed across the countryside by riders, with windmills, verses and a cherub-filled globe vignette.

  • Frame: approx. 270mm (h)× 220mm (w)x 10mm (d), gilt-edged wood with an ivory mount, glazed

  • This is a decorative reproduction, not an original engraving

  • Condition: a tear runs across the lower right of the print (see photos); light wear to the frame. Priced to reflect this.

A witty conversation piece for a study, hallway or cloakroom.

Gathered in France and carefully wrapped for its journey to you.
