Vintage French Stoneware Bottle "Vieil Alcool" with Botanical Design
A vintage French stoneware bottle lettered "Vieil Alcool", found at a brocante here in rural France.
The bottle is glazed in a warm oatmeal colour with a fine crackle, and is printed with a spray of leaves, blue-black berries and red berries beneath the script lettering. It has a wire swing-top with a white ceramic stopper. It looks lovely on a kitchen shelf or drinks tray, or with a single stem in it.
