Vintage French Oil Painting – Notre-Dame de Paris and the Seine, Framed

A vintage French oil painting of Notre-Dame de Paris seen from along the Seine, with its spire and flying buttresses rising above the river and an arched stone bridge.

• Size with frame: 41 cm (h) × 54 cm (w)

• Oil on canvas on a wooden stretcher

• Signed lower left (partly legible)

• Era: c. 1920s–1950s

• Painted long before the 2019 fire, so it shows the cathedral's original spire

• Frame: distressed gilt stucco frame

• Condition: good vintage condition. A fine diagonal scratch runs through the paint near the boat in the lower left, and the frame has a crack at the top-right corner join (see photos).

A piece of old Paris for a hallway, study or reading corner.
